if you're getting ^ this message, AVG Anti-Virus was updated today [09/23/09] to include a false-positive.
it incorrectly flags "diablo ii.exe" as a trojan horse, here i will walk you through defining an 'exceptions list' for avg so that this does not happen again. '=]

first things first, you need to double click avg's tray icon. Posted Image

doing so will bring you to a screen like this one, you need to goto the 'Tools', and then to the 'Advanced Settings...' menu.  like this...

clicking on the 'Advance Settings...' menu will bring you to avg's control panel, at this point you need to navigate the stuff on the left eg. double click the --> [+]Resident Shield on the left to open it up, and then select the 'Exceptions' entry underneath it.  at this point you want to click 'Add Path' on the right, which will bring you to this screen...

you want to browse for the diablo2 folder, mine is at "C:\Program Files\Diablo II" [this is common, as most installations will be in this folder].

if everything went right, your screen should look something like this. '=]
just hit 'APPLY', then 'OK' at the bottom and viola; you're done.
