Crafting Blood Recipe
Ingredients: Perfect Ruby, Any Jewel, Runes from Eth thru Sol, Magic item.
Focus: Life-related mods; regeneration, sweet damage mods unavailable on magic/rares.
- Preset Mods: + Life, 1-4% Life Leech, Life Regen, and damage: Deadly strike, Crushing blow.
- Notes: Sasy 1-3% LL, but it's actually 1-4%. Good for dual leech rings, skill/IAS/leech/CB gloves & skill/leech/frw/resist amulets.
Crafting Caster Recipe
Ingredients: Perfect Amethyst, Any Jewel, Runes from Tir thru Amn, Magic Item.
Focuses: Mana-related mods, faster casting and increased blocking.
- Preset mods: +Mana, +% Max Mana, Mana regen, Mana Leech, Mana per kill, FCR, % Increased Blocking.
- Popular recipe since the Hdin explosion. Uses more common runes, and is a great all-purpose recipes.
Crafting Hit Power Recipe
Ingredients: Perfect Sapphire, Any Jewel, Runes from Tir thru Amn, Magic Item.
Focus: Defense, blocking, hit recovery, damage, protective and retributive mods.
- Preset mods: Def vs missile, Def vs Melee, Dmg to Mana, Monster flee, FHR, %+ block, +Dex, Knockback, % Enh. Dmg on weapons.
- Not that useful, IMO. Most commonly use: Hit Power Gloves for the Knockback preset.
Crafting Safety Recipe
Ingredients: Perfect Emerald, Any Jewel, Runes from Eth thru Amn, Magic Item.
Focus: Increased defense, resists, dmg reduction, magic dmg reduction, + Vit and blocking
- Preset mods: % Enh. Def, Single resists, Dmg reduced, Magic dmg reduced, + vit, half freeze duration.
- Useful, but 3 recipe's item types suck. Safety Shield was (may still be) the ONLY D2 item with % Magic resistance: (5-10%)!

Temp IP Bans
You get IP banned if you:
-Join to many games/hour.  (20 per hour per cdkey per ip)
-Switch chars to fast (or to many times).   (remain in chat channel at few seconds)
-Switch beetweens auras to fast for to long.
-Might get it if you are dropped out of a game.

Realm Down
It really depends on the reason you were IP banned.  It can be from 5 mins to 48 hours. Usually it's just a 5 min realmdown but in some cases (I've never been in one) you can be IP banned for 48 hours. But don't worry. Go out and see the sunshine.

How Blizzard  Bans
"When you are caught using hacks, your account gets flagged for banning. If they so choose so, they can let theses flags sit for a bit, resulting in large groups of people being banned at once.   The other way is when you are caught using hacks that have been banned for previously, when using theses hacks, your account will be usually closed within 24 hours.

When they ban you, this is how it goes down:
-Your account you were caught hacking on gets closed.
-Your classic-cdkey gets closed for either 30 days if this is your first ban, or permanently if your a repeat offender.

Some things they don't do:
-They do not ban any accounts that were not caught using hacks.
-They do not ban any cd-keys that were not caught using hacks.
-They do not ban your expansion cd-key.

Bnet Account Closed
Followings are reasons why your account might have been closed:
(0) Offensive account name

(1) Advertising an inappropriate website
Inappropriate websites may include sites that promote or provide game hacks, programs with embedded virus code, pornography, or other destructive or intrusive materials that are not appropriate on Battle.net.

(2) Spamming in a channel
Please be advised thatBlizzardEntertainment has an aggressive stance against any account that is used to spam a Battle.net chat channel. Spamming a Battle.net channel disrupts the normal flow of dialogue in the chat room and violates the Battle.net Terms ofUse Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game.

(3) Stealing other player’s passwords

(4) Attempting to obtain CD-Keys
Please be advised that Blizzard Entertainment has an aggressive, zero-tolerance stance against any account being used by someone to obtain or steal CD-Keys or to con or trick users into giving out their CD-Keys on Battle.net. This offense violates the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game.

(5) Harassment of other users
Please be advised that Blizzard Entertainment does not support or condone the use of any account to harass or threaten other users on Battle.net. This offense violates the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game. Harassment may result in the closure of the account or even the temporary or permanent banning of the associated CD-Key.

(6) Inappropriate use of a bot
Blizzard Entertainment does not tolerate bots spamming chat channels or the use of bots to congest channels, which disrupts the normal flow of dialogue. This directly violates the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game.

(7) Offensive or racist comments
While Battle.net is a mature environment, we will close accounts that are used to violate the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game. We firmly believe that Battle.net's strength lies in its community, and racist or extremely offensive comments are not tolerated.

(8) This account was detected using a third-party program (hack) with one of our games on Battle.net. This account is now permanently banned
Any third-party program that is designed to affect the way the user interacts with Battle.net is considered a hack program. This includes seemingly harmless third-party utilities that work with the game to provide functions that were not included by the game designers. While many of these utilities might not have been created to disrupt the balance of the game, they alter the original design of the program. The detection of any such program by Battle.net may result in the closure of the user's account or even the temporary or permanent banning of the associated CD-Key.

(9) Impersonating a Blizzard representative
Please be advised that Blizzard Entertainment has an aggressive, zero-tolerance stance against any account used in an attempt to impersonate a Blizzard or Battle.net representative. This offense violates the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game.

(10) Inappropriate Activities (such as lossbotting, forum abuse, etc.)

(11) The minimum age to play on Battle.net is 13. Your account has been temporarily suspended. Please either email us at support@blizzard.com or call us at 949-955-1382 for further information. You will need to fax in a form signed by your parent or guardian giving permission to play on Battle.net.

Check link for detailed information (from http://extreme-gamer...lo2/itemguides)

Section 1.1 - Explanation of all “lvls"
Arealvl: Area level - This is a set number given to every area in the game. An area is divided by names. Ex: Cold Plains, Stony Fields. In Nightmare and Hell, this area level will force the Mlvl to be at least equal to the area level. More on this below.

Alvl: Affix Level - This is the determined monster level needed to make a specific modifier appear on a dropped item. Both Ilvl and Qlvl (noted below) are used to determine the Alvl.

Clvl: Character Level - The experience level of a character. Killing monsters, thus gaining experience, heightens this. Used during Gambling (clvl - 5 through +4), Shopping (clvl +5) and crafting (clvl/2 + ilvl/2) to determine Item Levels.

Ilvl: Item Level - Every Item in the game holds it's own Level. This level cannot be seen anywhere. It is always equal to the monster that has dropped the item. If you have gambled the item, it is then character level -5 through +4. If you have shopped the item in Nightmare or Hell, it is then Character level +5. Shopping in Normal is slightly different. You still get the clvl+5 = ilvl but there are max ilvls set by act:
act 1: 12, act 2: 20, act 3: 28, act 4: 36, act 5: 45
Item levels are used mainly for verification of modifier possibilities.

Mlvl: Monster Level - First, the "base" monster level is determined. In most cases (special cases below) the monster level "base" will be equal to the area level in which the monster was spawned.
1) Special case one: Super Uniques, bosses and defilers do not keep the Area Level as their Monster Level. To check what level they really are check here: (defilers are set according to monstats.txt)
http://mywebpages.co...ya/Monsters.htm
2) Special case two: In Normal difficulty the monsters all keep their mlvls (in accordance to monstats.txt).

Once the base monster level is set certain bonuses may be added as well: Uniques/bosses*/minions receive +3 to their mlvl; Champions receive +2 to their mlvl; (note: Bosses can also have "set" monster levels, a perfect example of this is pindleskin with an mlvl of 86 while his minions are mlvl 87).

Qlvl: Quality Level - Qlvl is an interger given to all items. This interger is primarily used for seperating items into groups knowns as "Treasure Classes". It is also used in the formula that determins the affix level of an item. The determination of an item drop will also use this number to verify if the drop is successful. (more on this in section 1.7) To find out the qlvl of an item check here: http://www.d2data.net/]http://www.d2data.net/ Note: Stacked items, when failed, also receive a durability bonus, though it isn't displayed.

Rlvl: Required Level - This level is displayed on many items and is basically the minimum required character level. Once your character level is equal to/or greater than the rlvl the item may be used/worn. (Assuming other requirements are met)

Slvl: Skill level - The current level of a given Skill. Ex: Cold Mastery @ lvl 20. This can be heightened by items or by skill points (attained by levelling or quests).

Section 1.2 - Explanation of Treasure Class or (TC)
Treasure Class is basically many items grouped together based on their theoretical value. Every item that can be dropped by monsters has it’s own Treasure Class. A typical TC group will contain several items that have similar qlvls. The lowest TC possible is 3, every group following will be a multiple of 3 until the highest possible which is 90. This basic set-up is true for all TC groups containing weapons or armors.

"Chest TC" ................................."Equip TC" ..."max item TC level"
Act 1 (H) Chest A Act 1 (H) ...............Equip A ..................63
Act 1 (H) Chest B Act 1 (H) ...............Equip B ..................66
Act 1 (H) Chest C Act 1 (H) ...............Equip B ..................66

Act 4 (H) Chest B Act 4 (H) ...............Equip B ..................78
Act 4 (H) Chest C Act 4 (H) ...............Equip B ..................78

Act 5 (H) Chest B Act 5 (H) ...............Equip B ...................87
Act 5 (H) Chest C Act 5 (H) ...............Equip B ...................87

Section 1.3 - Explanation of the Dimnishing Return
Here are the formulas used during a drop to determine what the final outcome will be. The outcome of this formula is then applied to each drop. Uniques MF * 250 / (MF+250), Sets MF * 500 / (MF+500), Rares MF * 600 / (MF+600), Magic items are not affected by diminishing returns. Although your MF is diminished towards uniques, sets, and rares, it is never worse than it previously was. When adding to the total Magic Find of your character, the UmagicFind (or uMF {unique magic find}) will always rise. This rise is based on the above formula.

%Magicfind .............Rare ..........Set ...........Unique
200 ......................150 ...........143 ............111
400 ......................240 ...........222 ............154
600 ......................300 ...........273 ............176
800 ......................343 ...........308 ............190
1000 ....................375 ...........333 .............200
1200 ....................400 ...........353 .............207
1400 ....................420 ...........368 .............212
1600 ....................436 ............381 ............216

Section 1.4 - Gambling
This is the third installment of this section. It has been revised and a little bit has been removed from the content. Please note that this section is 1.10 based and the information has been revised by many.

How clvl is involved: Character level determines two things while gambling, the first is what items may be purchased and the second is what item lvl the purchased item will attain. Please visit this section of the Arreat Summit to know at what level certain items are available: http://www.battle.ne.../gambling.shtml (scroll down some, a large table shows the items) Item lvls are then determined by an equation: ilvl = clvl + rnd[10] - 5; or more simply clvl-5 through clvl+4

Odds via uniques, sets, rares The odds to receive a specific quality are much higher than recent patches (1.09 and 1.10beta). The following are the odds for a purchased item to become unique/set/rare. unique: 1/2000, set: 1/1000, rare: 1/10, magical: 1/~1.1; or percentages: Uniques: 0.05%, Sets: 0.10%, Rares: 10.00%, Magic: 89.85%

Section 1.5 - Diminishing no-drop chances and boss extras
This is where the number of people in a game make a difference. If you are MFing from monsters and wish to up your chances a little, make/join games with more people in it. Every monster has a given chance to skip a drop (no drop) and having more people in a game reduces the odds at this happening. The change is slight but noticeable over time. Every monster and Super Unique in the game has it’s own no drop percentage. The more people you have in game, the lower this percentage becomes. At times it’s even possible to reach a zero no drop percentage. (guaranteed six TC rolls) With a low or non-existing no drop percentage, your odds at getting that unique you’ve been looking for is slightly higher in most cases.

Section 1.6 – Object drops and an in-depth look at special chests
The only relevant information I can dish out when objects are involved, has been dished out by Jarulf in the Lurker Lounge awhile back. Here is his post:
http://www.lurkerlou...p...ic=3112&hl=

A few highlights from that link:
-Goo piles from the Maggot Lair have a 33% chance to set off trap #3.
-Normal chests and objects can drop up to 4 items. (not including special chests)
-Chests with no desired quality allow MF to be applied.
As requested by certain people, here is an explanation of the Special chest drop. Quoted below is the original text written by Jarulf over at the Lurker Lounge forums:

Section 1.7 – Item Generation link
Section 1.8 - Magic Finding Blizzard Sorceress
Section 1.9 – Rarity

Overview:
With the introduction of patch 1.11, Blizzard added a new "secret" Hell level quest into D2:LOD. This quest is rather involved. The first part requires you to gather keys from the Countess, Summoner, and Nihlathak. The second part requires you to cube the keys and get three body parts from Lilith, UberDuriel, and UberIzual. The third and final part, is to cube the three body parts which will allow you to enter Tristam at which point you have to defeat UberMephisto, UberDiablo, UberBaal, and their constantly summoning minions. Once the three Ubers are killed, a Hellfire Torch Large Charm will drop along with enough Standard of Heroes (victory medals) for each in the winning party member.

Notes:
o Prevent Monster Heal does not work on any Uber.
o The Uber's start spawning minions from the ground as soon as you are detected. UberD spawns the same Pit Lords from the Furnace. UberBaal spawns ghosts and Dark Lords, and UberMeph spawns skeleton, skeleton archers, and skeleton magi.
o Meph has level 20 conviction, i.e. -125 resists.
o They can all teleport and move quicker than there normal versions.
o You can NOT cast a town portal.
o The red portal spawns in the same spot each time. On the right middle side of the two buildings on the right. (sic) Depending on the speed at which the level loads, it may seem that the portal is spawned on top of UberMeph. I believe that you game loads slow and the AI for Meph kicked in early. Similar to the Duriel problem a few patches ago.
o From my group it was agreed upon that the three Ubers start in the center of town in a triangle. UberD to the upper left, UberMeph to the upper right, and UberBaal to the lower left.
o Spawn the level with only one character in the game. I don't know if the Ubers spawn when the portal is created, or when you first wake them up -- if it is like everything else in the game, it's when they wake up -- so at this point it is just wishing.
o SAFETY TIP: a summoner should enter the portal first. A short second later everyone else follows. As soon as you get to Tristam run directly to the upper right hand corner. Circle around counterclockwise and go to the bottom left corner. From there lure out one boss at a time.
o you should have at least have a salvation pally, a summoner, and a smiter; all BO'd.
o Even if a paladin runs with a higher conviction level than UberMeph's, only he will benefit and none of his party will, i.e. UberMeph's conviction will still affect them.
o ideally, the necro casts only lifetap, but in our case decrep was sufficient. Dim vision on the minions is helpful.
o a link to d2.net about the big three and their minions.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Patch 1.12
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
	 Downloadable Installer Support
- If all required Diablo 2 '.MPQ' files are installed on the
hard drive, the game will no longer require the CD to play.
For users that originally performed a 'Full Installation'
and wish to run without the CD, all '.MPQ' files should
be copied from the Diablo 2 CDs to the Diablo 2 directory.
Most users will only need to copy D2Music.mpq from the
Diablo 2 Play CD and/or D2xMusic.mpq from the Lord of
Destruction CD. Mac users will need to copy these music
files and rename them to 'Diablo II Music' and
   'Diablo II Expansion Music' respectively.
Anyone who did not perform a 'Full Installation' will need
to re-install from CD again to ultimately play without the CD.
In this case, a 'Full Installation' is required, followed by file
   copy step noted above.

Inferno from the unique item Balrog Blade Flamebellow.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

	 Mysterious World-event
- Players of Hell difficulty Realm games are hereby warned that a new,
challenging world-event has been added to Diablo II version 1.10.
Players of Hardcore characters should be even more wary when
encountering Superunique monsters during an active world event. Be
prepared to execute a hasty Save and Exit, if your situation seems too
  dangerous.

	 Fundamental architecture changes/improvements
- The skill and monster systems are now completely data-driven. Skill
balancing is simpler and quicker. Monster control/populating/creation
is simpler. Although done for our needs, mod-makers should like these
changes, too. A major result is that nearly any skill can be used by any
  character class.
- A skill now may have synergy Bonuses (similar to masteries) applied by
  putting points into other skills.
- The player stats and inventory system has been completely redone to
run more efficiently, improving server performance and stability.
- The collision detection system has been sped up significantly. Again,
  improving server performance.

	 Specific changes/improvements
- Increased difficulty for high-level players to reduce future
  exploitation of the game system.
- Made monsters tougher
- Beefed up monster difficulty in Act V, Nightmare, and Hell
difficulties. This was accomplished by improving monster stats (hp, ac,
etc.) and by boosting their AI/behavior in NM and Hell difficulties
(that is, by making decisions more often and by simply moving faster).
In Nightmare and Hell difficulties monster damages have generally been
increased -- dramatically in some cases.
- Reduced the effectiveness of Experience runs, power-leveling, and
  leeching.
- Added randomized (especially ranged-attack) monsters to Nightmare and
Hell Act V - e.g., Burning Dead, Imps, etc.
- Increased the Experience attached to most Act V monsters in Normal,
  Nightmare, & Hell difficulties.
- Reduced the HP of (Act V) Barbarian soldiers in Nightmare and Hell
  difficulties.
- Increased the rate of occurrence of Unique monsters in Hell
  difficulty.
- Reduced the party member Experience sharing to 0 beyond a maximum
distance of about 2 screens from the monster death. This prevents
low-level characters from joining a party and then staying completely
out of harm's way while still getting Experience.
- Increased the Experience penalty for Clvl 70+ as follows: Clvl 1 - 69:
  100% Experience Clvl 70 - 99: 85% - 0.8% Experience (approximately
  exponential decaying)
- Encouraged players to play in more of the Diablo II
  areas/locations/levels.
- Reduced drops from the most-run SuperUnique monsters, ThreshSocket and
  Pindleskin.
- Cut Experience and reduced drops in the Cow level.
- Randomized the monster populations more thoroughly throughout Act V in
Nightmare and Hell difficulties, including the addition of 'guest
  monsters' from other Acts.
- Increased the number of Unique monsters in each area and difficulty.

	Improved various Items
- Improved the attributes for newly-dropped Rare Armor, Helms, and most

	Closed some PvP loopholes/exploits
- Terminated the casting of 'absentee' skills such as the Sorceress'
Meteor, Firewall, Blaze, Hydra; the Assassin's Sentries; the Druid's
Volcano; etc. when the player enters town. This prevents declaring
Hostility and doing immediate damage to the unsuspecting.
- Prevented 3rd-party hacks from treating background objects as a
  Waypoint.
- Enforced a 10-second delay between declaring Hostility and using a
Waypoint or Town Portal to leave town.
- Ears and other items dropped on the ground by players (even in town)

  selection screen.
- Introduced a new Ladder System for those who prefer to play free from
any characters who may have participated in past item duping or hacking.
To use this new feature, a player places a check in the Ladder box upon
character creation -- in the same way that Expansion and Hardcore
selection is done. Periodically, the Ladder may be reset, adding the old
Ladder characters to the regular population -- who, of course, cannot
play games with the new season's Ladder characters. Thus, every season
each new Ladder character truly starts from scratch, as no 'twinking' is
  possible from older characters.

  somewhere in between.

point (not every other one) add to the radius of the damage.

with whom the player is currently trading. Also, messages from players
outside the trade are squelched and will not appear in the message log.

  malicious masquerading.
- Chat colors have been adjusted to help players identify the source of
the text. The new chat colors are Name = Gold, Whisper = Green,
Alert = Red, Message = White, Emote = Gray, Enter/Exit = Gray, and
  Blizzard Representative = Blue.

occupied, the player is prompted to join a game instead. It no longer
reports "Server Down" in this case.

  position.

of the Life Orb. There may be a period of adjustment for some players
and we encourage you to pay closer attention to your Life Orb until
you are used to this change.
- Added support for future server performance improvements.
Effect: Future reduction in lag and future increase in the number
  of games per server.

need to download and install the new drivers, and then choose
"Rescan Monitors" from the video configuration screen. If you can
already select RAVE or OpenGL mode, you do not need to download this update.

"Diablo Walks the Earth"
The Diablo Clone (DC) is officially called Uber Diablo by Blizzard and is a demon. DC appears in place of the next Super Unique you come to that you haven't already visited.

To our knowledge, the actual distance between your char and the SU when it spawns is not stated anywhere. However, we think it's a very safe bet this distance will be the same as the distance that activates your quest button, i.e. approaching the hell forge smith your quest button is generally activated 2 screens before you actually get to see Hephasto.

Q. How and where does the Diablo Clone spawn?
A. Diablo Clone spawns when between 75-125 soj have been sold on a single server since the last World Event on that server. See our serverlist for current counts.

He will spawn in place of the first SUPER UNIQUE monster you come across. He cannot spawn in place of an end act boss (Andariel, Duriel, Mephisto, Diablo or Baal). He will also spawn in place of a quest related SU/Special regardless of whether you have completed the quest or not.

Bear in mind that as soon as you enter an area where a SUPER UNIQUE boss lives, that boss will spawn. If you then get a WE (Diablo walks the earth) he cannot spawn in that area as you have already spawned the usual SUPER UNIQUE. Best practice is to decide where you want the clone to spawn and do not visit that area until the ‘Diablo walks the earth’ message appears.

Lister the Tormentor Minion of Destruction (Throne of Destruction)

Q. How do I find the Clone?
1. Make games until you find the desired active IP.
2. Idle in-game until the "Diablo walks..." message appears.
3. Spawn DC in place of the SU at your favorite location.
4. Kick the Clone's ass.

Q. How do I find the desired IP?
1. Click on START.
2. Click on RUN.
3. Type in " cmd " or " command " without the quotes.
4. While your in the "cmd" (DOS-Box/DOS-prompt) window, type:
" netstat -n " without the quotes.
5. A list of IPs should appear in the "cmd" window. Look for the line that has: 213.248.106.XXX:4000.
4000 tells you that it is the battle.net game server. XXX is the IP number.
6. When people post IPs with let's say " Soj count 2304 @ .167 " you would then want to find IP .167. So create a hell game and go to the "cmd" window and type "netstat -n" without the quotes. If the number isn't .167 continue to make more games and repeat the process with netstat -n. This can take time, Blizzard has 77 D2 servers atm. Once you are on .167, wait for Diablo Clone to walk and collect your prize!
Optional is the Maphack cheat, which can also be configured to show the game IP and is covered in the software section.

Q. How do I idle for hours without losing my game?
There are ways to do this in all acts except act 4 but these are the easiest and most reliable two places to do this:
1. Starting from the act 5 town WP, go up the stairs halfway until you are on the landing between you stash and Malah. Stand a bit to the left, so that you have about 1/3 of the landing to the left and 2/3 on the right. Now click on your stash. Your char will run to the left and get caught on the corner. He can now run forever without getting tired. You can chat, message and even check your inventory while "shaking". With practice you'll get it down everytime. This is much easier than the description FPRIVATE "TYPE=PICT;ALT=Wink"
2. Go somewhere in act 5 and open a TP. Return to town and enter Malah's house. Go near the right wall and click on the TP. You should get caught at the doorway and not reach the TP.

Q. Where does DC spawn?
See the post "Where can DC Spawn?" below this FAQ.

Q. You said "Kick the Clone's ass" but that's not easy! How do I kill him?
See the index in the Forum "Killing DC".

Q. How long will DC stay in game?
Forever, in theory. Practically, until the game or server crashes or you lose your connection.

Q. Does the number of Anni charms DC drops depend on how many people are in game?
No, DC always drops one Anni (Except in Classic).

Q. What does the "XXX Soj sold to merchants" message mean?
Pretty much exactly what it says, that xxx SoJ hav been sold to NPCs on that server.
The server Soj count goes up with each Soj sold on that server. However, a "...sold to merchants" message will not be displayed more often than once every 60 seconds.
Selling Soj and not getting a message doesn't mean your Soj did not count: it does! If a message with "300 Soj sold..." appears and you rapidly sell let's say 4 Soj, you will not get another message. But wait 1 minute and sell 1 more Soj: A "305 SoJ sold..." message will now be shown.

Q. How much experience does killing DC give?
Arreat Summit claims a whopping 5,539,200 exp for killing DC but this is not true, at least not under any circumstances we have been able to reproduce. Actual experience gained will depend on your char level as well as the number of players who were in the game at the time DC was spawned. Here are some approximate values for your reference:
Level 85 char: 1,000,000 exp, 1 player spawn
Level 90 char: 275,000 exp, 1 player spawn
Level 93 char: 120,000 exp, 1 player spawn
Level 90 char: 425,000 exp, 4 player spawn
Level 92 char: 240,000 exp, 2 player spawn
Level 97 char: 110.000 exp, 3 player spawn

Q. Can DC appear more than once?
No. The Clone cannot appear more than once in a single game.

Q. Is there any way I can pick up or carry more than 1 Annihilus charm?
One never knows for sure what hacks are out there, but no, you cannot have more than 1 charm on a character.

D2 Facts & Myths
Seems alot of people have been paying too much attention to the wild rumours that run rampant through Battle.Net, or are unsure about what is actually correct. I figure I'll iron out some of the more commonplace facts for reference. Feel free to PM me with additions.

================================================

Realm Down aka C/I
Your connection has been temporarily restricted from this realm. Please try to log in at another time.
Explanation
This is a temporary realm-only IPBan. The main reason for this ban is creating/joining games too fast (explained later). It generally lasts @ 30-60 minutes but has been known to last much longer. This IPBan is not given for maphack or botting offenses, a full ban (explained later) is instigated in these circumstances.
Solution
There are numerous ways around this IPBan. The first (and most obvious) is to slow down your game creation rate. If that doesn't float your boat try the following-
:: For dial-up users, a simple reconnection ought to do.
:: Static IP users with a Network Connection should try opening the command prompt and typing "ipconfig /release" to clear their connection and then "ipconfig /renew" to be assigned a new IP.
:: Static IP users without a Network Connection should use WinSocks with a viable socks4/5 proxy. Tutorials on this are available everywhere. Try Google.

================================================

Creating/Joining 20 games in an hour will give you C/I
Explanation: This is a myth. While there is a good chance you will be banned for creating/joining that many games in an hour, that is not how the system works. In order to prevent bot adapation based on constant figures, blizzard has opted to use a fixed + random integer logic in order to provide a controlled yet slightly random games/time ratio.
Solution: See Realm Down aka C/I

================================================

How does banning work?
Explanation: If you are detected for use of a maphack, bot etc etc, you will be banned. This ban is not just realm-only, it is all Battle.net. If this is the first time your CD Key is banned, the ban will only last 30 days, however if you are banned a second time, it is permanent. Only your Classic CD Key will be banned not LOD. Your account that the 3rd party program was detected on will be closed indefinitely, however at this point in time only detected accounts will be banned, not others tied to the CD Key.

================================================

Using Meteor causes a 25/50% XP Loss to all party members
Explanation: This is rather silly. There WAS a bug @ 2 years ago that resulted in this effect, however it was quickly cleaned up and now, here, in the present, meteor is just as viable for obliterating critters for XP as any other attack.
Solution: Ask the person who complains about this what rock they have been living under for the past two years.

================================================

Standard of Heroes removes XP loss on death
Explanation: Myth. Standard of Heroes does absolutely nothing. One would think the lvl 90 req is something of a "Chat gem". Just there to cause conjecture.
Solution: Keep it. Throw it. Leave it. It's all aesthetic baby.

================================================

Glitching Baal Runs
Gist: Only works in an 8 Player game, only works in Hell. The lowest player (doesn't need to be, just for efficiency) leaves party after the first set of spawns (Colenzo and his warped ones). The player then rejoins party after the second set of spawns (Horadrim and skele's). The theory is that this will somehow glitch the experience so that when the player rejoins b.net treats the game as having 9 players and sets XP accordingly.

Reality: Look, I've tested this extensively between the levels of 80 and 96 and I can't see even a slight difference on the XP gained. This also goes against the theory that XP is capped after 5 players join (or not, see below). This may have been an exploit at some point in the recent past, but I don't believe it works now. Proof otherwise is welcome.

================================================

XP maxes at 5 players
Explanation: It has been a common theory that the increase in XP per player in game stops after 5.

Reality: This is incorrect. The XP WILL increase when the 6th/7th/8th player joins but the extra gain will cumulatively decrease after in fact the 4th. The difference between 7-8 Players is very minimal.
Bnet Commands
/users: Displays all number of users, games and channels on the server.

/who (channel): Who is on this channel.

/time: Displays your local time and Battle.net server time.

#3 You see "MY Account Free" ect.. Its a SCAM.

#4 Someone who say's there a Blizzrd Rep is a SCAMMER.

#5 If your tradeing always have them move the item. Good chance you could get
Scammed if you don't.

#6 Don't Download any "Dupe" "Ith Maker" "Maphack"<->(off any site but
forward.to/mousepad). You will never find a real one just a virus.

#7 Be very careful what sites you go to. Unless you got a good virus scanner.
There is auto-download Trojan's.

#11 Most people trying to trade the "Annihilus" and "Gheed". Be wary alot of
people get scammed tradeing these.

#12 Be VERY careful if someone wispers you with "Guess Who This Is". If you

someone you really know). They will most likely say "YES" and from there try to
scam you.

#17 You will never have to type your "Account Name" and "Password" to save your
account.

#18 Never play a "Game" with your item's in the trade screen.

#19 Alt + F4 Close's Diablo does nothing special.

#20 Becareful of new friends. Some could be just around to steal your items.

#21 Becareful of people selling there accounts they still can get the password.

#22 Also, You all should know this... Blizzard will NEVER ask for your Password.

#23 There is no such thing as a "Bugged Werts Leg".

D2 Known Scams on D2jsp.org:
* Be sure that the forum gold has been sent, you don't have to hurry.
* If the user wants to trade fast or without a Mediator, don't attempt the trade. If you have patience, you will never be scammed.
* Make sure that the person in game is the one who PM'ed you.
* Never trust in PM's like: "My friend xxx is waiting for you in game xx1/x". Report these users to a Moderator as soon as possible.
* Never give first because you have: less posts, lower join date, less vouches, less FG. If you are Not Rated and the other user is Not Rated, you are equal.
* Never trade alone if you feel unsure and especially with huge amount of FG, use a Mediator.

More Bnet Scams:
* They ask you to type /dnd and try to scam you.
* Games: "I can dupe", "Dupe", "Dupe here", "My account free" etc... are scam games.
* Blizzard will NEVER contact you via whisper. If you receive such whispers, it's a scam attempt.
* Blizzard will NEVER ask for your password, they already know it.
* You will never have to type your "Account name" and "Password" to save your account.
* Never trade anything without using the "Trade window".
* Ask the other trader to move the item in the trade window.
* Make sure that while he moves the item, he doesn't switch it.
* 3d party programs are a scam ("Dupe" "Ith maker" "Maphack").
* Make sure that the item you are buying unidentified is the correct one.
* "Drop games" are scam games, they use a hack called "Grab it".
* Alt + F4 its a command to close Diablo, nothing special.
* Be careful with new friends, some of them only try to steal your items.
* Never buy an account, they can recover their password.
* "Bugged Wirt's leg" doesn't exist! It's only a Wirt's leg socketed or it's imbued by Charsi.
* The only person you can trust is yourself.

How can I play without the CD in the CD-drive?

The first step is to make sure you have performed a 'Full install' option of the game when it was initially installed, or insert your Diablo II CD and choose the 'Upgrade to Full install' option.  You will need to repeat this upgrade process with the Expansion CD as well if you have it.  You will now need to copy a file from the Original Play CD, and Expansion CD if you have the expansion.

Windows Users:
- From the Diablo II play CD, you will need to copy the file D2MUSIC.MPQ to your Diablo II installation folder (normally C:\Program files\Diablo II)
- If you also have the expansion installed, you will also need to copy the D2XMUSIC.MPQ and D2XVIDEO.MPQ files from your Expansion CD and place these in your Diablo II folder as well.

Mac Users:
You will need to make sure that you have performed a full install of the game, and as well as the copying, you will have to rename the files.

- From the original Diablo II play disc, please copy the D2MUSIC.MPQ file and save this to your Diablo II folder, after the copy has been done you will also need to rename this file, please rename it to:
Diablo II Music
- If you have the expansion installed as well, you will also need to copy the D2XMUSIC.MPQ from the expansion CD.  After the file has been copied to your Diablo II folder, please rename this file to:
Diablo II Expansion Music

http://en.wikipedia....(computer_game)

"Diablo is a dark fantasy-themed action role-playing game developed by Blizzard North and released by Blizzard Entertainment on November 30, 1996.  Set in the fictional Kingdom of Khanduras (located in the Diablo series fantasy world of Sanctuary), Diablo has the player take control of a lone hero as he or she battles to rid the world of the eponymous Lord of Terror. Beneath the town of Tristram, the player journeys through sixteen dungeon levels to ultimately come face to face with Diablo and his demon minions.  An expansion pack, entitled Diablo: Hellfire, was released in 1997, although it was not created by Blizzard Entertainment. This was followed by a true sequel, Diablo II, in 2000, and a third game, Diablo III, was announced on June 28, 2008 at Blizzard's World Wide Invitational in Paris, France."

Big Shrek,

I have a possible contribution or correction to your cross-reference guide listed up above in the first post of this thread.  Today I was in a local pawn shop and picked up two more Marlin model 60 clones, but one of them is unlike any other model 60 rifle Ive ever seen.

The left of the barrel is marked: WESTPOINT,  then on a line immediately to the right and slightly higher, COTTER & COMPANY, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, USA, then beneath this on a second line, MODEL 50----------CAL.22 LR ONLY.  The name WESTPOINT is spelled as one word and is in a larger sized font than the two individual lines immediately to its right.

The serial number on this one is 69190490, so Im assuming it was made in 1969.  It has a walnut finished birch, monte carlo style stock, but without the squirrel, woodchuck, or prairie dog in the pistol grip area.

Hope this helps you with your project
