Do you mean the Diablo II ladder, or the member levels here in the forums?  I recently noticed that you, as well as a couple others, had your level reset.  Mine was unaffected by this reset, but I'm also not very high.  I haven't heard a thing as to why this happened.  The reason was probably disclosed on the IRC channel, maybe.

If you mean the Diablo II ladder, it's probably rumor.  Unless it's clearly posted in the Battle.net news at the Arreat Summit, it usually is.

Yeah, b.net ladder reset...  Wonder if they are going to do it early because of the gmerc issue and the recent mass duping.  hmmm...

True, the attack system here is going to be reset, but it isn't what I meant.

From what I've heard/seen there is NO proof that it will happen. However people like Knights-of-Kneee believe it is a good chance around august-september.. only time will tell :/

Well, since hrs are around 5-6 fg a piece now, the economy HAS crashed and only folks who are already rich are going to benefit, not those of us who want to be...

It's hard to say, I can remember back in 1.09, after about a year nearly every month there were rumors flying around that 1.10 was close to being released... then another year later it finally was

i got bored my bot worked to well in getting me rich and i got bore i enjoy the reset because i have to start from nothing with everyone else.  so i hoe it is soon so i will start playing again.
