Vote for your favorite choices and then post Which Ones you voted for and Why!

I chose,
#1 Paladin - Due to the variety of builds and the fact that Hammerdins are my fav chars ^_^
#2 Assassin - I personally like just how the assassin look, the only one I've made is my trapper which is a godly dueler :)
#3 Necromancer - All 3 common builds are good, I personally prefer Summoners but I know alot of people don't like them for so called "lag" issues with revives.. I can understand and my summoner typically doesn't use revive.. I maxed/maxing out Golem Mastery and Iron Golem instead of Revive

There ya have it now let me see YOUR opinions ^_^

every one knows the pally is the #1 i mean the zeal, the hammy and the smite, Very sexy for ubers and D clone ... they are very trustable and ussualy get the job done when others cant.  I like holy shield its really sexy.

but Zeal will still always be my favorite. the fast attacking and in normal act 1 with EbotdZ just seeing th cainreaction of them falling over makes my day

#2 the sorc jsut.. look at her shes damn sexy, and she knows how to get places with out usinga alot of mana... piss her off and u get house fireballed and lightning stuck,  they are sexy for Mf

#3 the barb: strong, big, manly, makes me fell like i have a big  *triniti

gotta go druid as my all time fav. since well theres so many differant ways to build them, and well i basicly refuse to build paladins due to the fact that bnet has favoritised them. i prefer more challenge in my builds than easy ar, easy def, easy runeword capabilities etc. but on the other hand i did finally break down and build a pally :( grrrr but wanted to try an idea out and it worked :) even if it  is just another way of pallies gettin things easier than any other class.

simple enough, Sorc, Zon, Barb. why them three? cus. when done right, they pwn. not like the hammerdin that pwns everything with little work..... or the zealot that is kinda hard to mess up. but still, a well built Sorc or a well built Zon will pwn everything in its path, same thing goes for the Barb. shure theres alot of badly built barbs out there, but still ive seen quite a few good ones too.

Here are my top 3 picks:
  • Sorceress, because you can get teleporting and do MF runs with almost no gear. Great bootstrapping capabilities at start of ladder. She pwns hate and terror key runs in hell without having to get enigma hand-me-downs. I have a balanced fo/cl  :wizard: build: http://strategy.diab...news.php?id=562
  • Assassin, because a death-sentry build pwns nihl for dkey runs, without teleport. Mine started as a gem/rune mule, but along the way got dual Jade talons for high resists, and then other stuff to up her max fire resists to withstand nihl's corpse explosions (a few times). She's now matriarch  :assassin: and is level 86 or something. This is the build I used to start, then modified it to have gear for Nihl key running: http://strategy.diab...news.php?id=578
  • Necromancer (skellimancer) - it's the cadillac of builds... Creat your minions  :skull:  :skull:  :skull: , sit back, relax, spam amp dam and corpse explosions, keep the alt key down to watch the drops  :beach: . Google is your friend for the build; hard to mess it up - I still have like 15 skill points unallocated at level 88.
I didn't forget to put pallies  :paladin: in there, but they'll win hands down this poll anyway. There is no other char that can do ubers or dclone solo :nhl_checking: as easily as the Paladin. Go for the Vindicator/Smiter build, which is technically PvP: http://db.gamefaqs.c..._111_smiter.txt

Personally...I choose paladin as number 1, because of it's flexibility and endurance. This charachter can be built in a variety of ways enabling himto become exceptional at everything fomr uber-killing to magic-finding.

Second i chose Sorc, mainly because of popularity i guess.. the only really great advantage a sorceress had, was Teleport, which was why many chosed it, so they could move around fast etc.. But when the runeword Enigma was introduced in one of the latter patches, any char can have Teleport and the Sorceress has dropped in popularity due to this. Beginners and poor people (in sence of game runes/whatever) that can't afford an Enigma, still very often choose a Sorc as their first/main char, tho.

And third I chose Amazon, simply because as the Paladin, it can be built in so many ways it makes it fun to play. Anything fom cow-killing Javazons to super pvp-chars can be made and the fun thing about amazon is of course their dexterity which makes them great hitters (not to be compared to Smite, tho).

I picked Pally for my number one character because of it endurance and ability to dominate the game. Any good pally build can own. Most runewords are based around pallies anyways.
#2 was druids, i love druids. They are not easy to build, but the right build can do ubers with ease (eagle-strikes druid owns trist) and are great duelers. There are about six different druid builds that with the right build can own almost any class.
I remember when i had the first teleporting elemental druid on useast back in the 1.09 days. Back then elementals sucked but i still did very good in duels.

Sorceress - Not only are they very fast and can attack from long distances, but they have a veriety of elements and if played correctly can be one of the most deadly characters in the game (Aside from Paladins but I was never a Paladin fan). I beleive a correctly built Sorceress can handle almost any situation.

Amazon - I'v just been an Amazon fan since D1. Rouge was always my favorite because I'm the kind of sneak attack person who stays far away from battle and picks off everything from a distance. But they can also handle themselves if the enemy comes up close and personal. Very versitile like the Sorceress but they are limited to whether they are long or short range to an extent. Going long range limites the short range attacks and vice-vurse. But they are very agile which comes in handy.

Assassin - Just like the Amazon, very fast and versitile. Not only do they have many powerful melee attacks they also have deadly long range skills. If built correctly again, can be some of the most deadly types of characters in the game.

i chose the druid as my favorite because they are the most versatile build in all aspects.  first of all you can start off making a windy druid which in itself can be made into a powerhouse mfer or into a speedy rusher or even as a simple tp clearer for baal games with hurricane to blast away any unwanted tp cloggers.  secondly you can go with the werewolf type druid which is much like a leeching palladin with slightly less attack and defense but more life overall which works well in combination with its abilitys of leeching using specific skills.  also you can make a top of the line poison character if that floats yoru boat in a similar werewolf fashion.   werebear is another type of character that can be made with high life allowing it to tank and create a great amount of fire damage using fire claws perhaps even in conjunction with armagedon and other fire skills.  you could even make a summoner if you so choose to which even in hell can create quite a useful character if you can be patient enough to allow your summons to kill monsters.  essentially the druid is a character that can make any type of character or mix any of those previously mentioned.

secondly i chose the palladin because although many might say thier builds are cheap and easy. and fairly straightforeward the palladin has such a great array of auras and skills that he can combine in different new ideal combinations that you can never really stop making a "new breed" of palladin if you force yourself into thinking creatively.  while at the same time the palladin creates a quick easy basic beginners char as well for those who need help learning the game.  they also have many different types of skills from magic ranged and close melee combat allowing them to teach people of all types different fighting styles in diablo 2.

lastly i chose the assasin, although i have spent little time with the assasin it is a build that has intrigued me since day one of the new expansion.  firstly and foremostly because of the unique ability to open locked chests without the aid of a cumbersome and easily forgotten in the most unpleasant situations, keys.  as well as thier similarity in the three orb build up in skills that the druid has with certain skills.  the assasin has and may continue to be a confusing challenging character which can have some amazing differential in thier builds as well as strong and useful destructive builds which rival and force even the most experienced player to brush up on their fighting styles

Not a bad read immortalwombat.  :o I don't know that I would call the pally "a quick easy basic beginners char".
I have seen multiple person faily with their first bulid of a pally.  This is your opinion though and it shall be respected :)

I totally vote druids! My little wolfie is so cute! I have a grudge against paladins.. they're blizzard's favorite. Although hammerdins are cool, and someone i know made a badass pally with conviction and stuff.. between smiter and convic pally they own ubers. But other than that, pallys are bad! Roar! *diablo

You should add wombat to the list of characters.. I would vote for that. lol

ok replying time :)

First off.. I hate sorcs >_>

Secondly.. snoopy-bam what else did you vote for? :P

Thirdly.. pally are easy to screw up... HOWEVER.... they still work godly even when they messed up.. i should know because my single player one had 1 in EVERY skill.. >_>

Fourthly.. Assassins are versitile and handy to have :)

Fifthly.. no wombats aint a character.. their lunch for Dclone.. we feed him wombats before he walks the earth to ripen the annis that drop so they aint 5/5/3-15/15/7 :) so because of wombats we have 10/10/5-20/20/10 :)

thats all for now.. till the next time..

I like the sin for dam unknown reason. I made a ww sin last season this season i made a trapper.
The pally I like cause he can kick just about anythings ass and is a tank.
Sorc I choose cause they are cheap to make mf builds. lite sorcs and fb sorcs are nice duelers orb isnt bad. I hate barbs and zons. Druids i only made one last season. necs are fun to use but cost alot to make.
