This tutorial will show you how to connect to Battle.Net trough a proxy.
Download SocksCap from
Permeos Homepage and install it.
Open SocksCap
Accept the T.O.S.
Click OK when it tells you when it will expire. Then when it asks if you would like to modify the settings now, click yes. You can modify these settings later as well from the File/Setting-menu.
In "SOCKS Server:" and "Port", fill in the information about your proxy server.
Select your Socks version. If it's a private socks-server, choose SOCKS Version 5, and check the "Username/Passowrd" box. Click Ok.
A box asking for the username and password will appear. This data is provided by your proxy provider, or bu yourself if it's your own proxy. If it's a public proxy, then dont bother about this step. You can change this later from the File-Username/Password-menu.
Click the New-button.
Under Profile-name type in somethign to describe this "shortcut" (i.e. "Diablo 2")
Under Command Line, choose Browse... and then find your Diablo II.exe or D2Loader.exe (usually located in C:\Program Files\Diablo II). Click OK.
That's it, now just double-click the "shortcut" to run DiabloII trough the proxy! =)
So, where do you find proxies? Well that's not covered in this tutorial... Some public can be found at numerous "free proxy list"-sites such as freeproxy.ru, although these are definitly NOT recommended for searching and keeping games, as they can lag, or disconnect at any time.
Enjoy!
